Glorious weather combined with an excellent parade, a great variety of stands, tombolas and children's games, ensured everyone enjoyed Village Day 2007.

The Boys' Brigade in Lindfield, based at the United Reformed Church in the High Street, held its Annual Inspection and Display on 27th April. Boys demonstrated a selection of the activities they had participated in during the past year, including games, drill and drumming. Other activities members were involved in were camping, the D of E scheme, and sporting events. Among awards presented was a Presidents Badge, one of the Brigade's highest awards, to 16 year old Alex Hill.

Ronald Vickers on behalf of the Normandy Association for Air Remembrance wishes to contact any family of Flying Officer John Bigland Tulk-Hart. The war memorial gives his details as no 67266, age 34 August 1944, RAF Volunteer Reserve, 69 Squadron. He was a WW2 bomber crewman shot down in France in 1944.
